Kingston Animal Hospital is looking for an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fantastic team of compassionate veterinary professionals. We're a well-established, six-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice committed to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

What You'll Do

• Assist veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care
• Practice Fear Free and low-stress patient handling techniques
• Safely handle and restrain canine, feline, exotic, and pocket pet patients
• Support diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
• Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
• Educate clients and clearly communicate veterinary recommendations
• Listen patiently as clients explain why their dog, cat, bird, or guinea pig is clearly the best one that has ever lived
• Explore and support services including acupuncture, holistic treatments, laser therapy, and behavior counseling
• Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
• Maintain a positive and supportive approach throughout the workday
• Help create a safe, welcoming, and efficient hospital environment

What You'll Bring

• Previous veterinary technician experience or current veterinary technician licensure
• Strong patient care and veterinary technical skills
• A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary medicine
• Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures
• Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient care
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• An interest in Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
• Excellent client communication and education skills
• A positive, supportive, and team-focused attitude
