Role Description Lower is seeking a full-time Mortgage Loan Originator, a hybrid role based in Macomb, MI, with flexibility for some work from home. The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans by building and managing a pipeline of clients, gathering and analyzing borrower information, and recommending appropriate loan products. The Mortgage Loan Originator will guide applicants through the loan process, from initial inquiry to closing, ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. Day-to-day activities include consulting with borrowers, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, preparing and reviewing loan documentation, and maintaining strong relationships with real estate agents and other referral partners. The role also involves meeting production goals while delivering a high-quality, transparent, and customer-focused experience. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Loan Origination and Loans, with the ability to manage a pipeline and close residential mortgage transactions. Strong knowledge of Mortgage Lending practices and Finance principles, including loan products, interest rates, and applicable regulations. Experience collaborating with Underwriting teams, including the ability to interpret credit, income, and asset documentation. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build lasting client relationships. Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and meet individual and team performance goals. Familiarity with mortgage origination systems and basic office software; comfort with using technology to support the lending process. Prior experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or loan officer is preferred; NMLS licensure and compliance with state licensing requirements are required. High school diploma required; college coursework or a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
