CNC Milling Machinist

Job Title: CNC Milling Machinist
Location: Rockford, IL area
Job Type and Duration: Direct hire
Pay range: 25-34/HR (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday- Thursday 6am-4:30pm.
Possible OT on Friday's until 11am

Job description

Set up, Program and Run Mazak CNC milling machine centers.
Understand and select correct tooling.
Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications.
Ensure the CNC Machine is operating at the highest level of productivity and quality appropriate to the assigned project.
Experience with, or knowledge of, programming to make program changes and/or create programs
Review and maintain set up sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence and dimensions.
ssemble cutting tools in tool holders and position in magazine as needed to machine parts.
Measure work piece for conformance to specification using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator and gages.
djust machine speeds and feeds and change cutters to machine parts efficiently.
Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
