Travel Operations Specialist

Role Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven professional to manage end-to-end corporate travel booking operations, ensuring seamless execution, policy compliance, and high stakeholder satisfaction across global travel requirements. Responsibilities Travel Booking Operations (Primary – 80%) Manage end-to-end air ticketing and accommodation bookings for domestic and international travel Handle both routine and priority travel requests within defined TAT Ensure cost‑effective options aligned with corporate travel policy Maintain accuracy in bookings (dates, sectors, fare rules, traveler details) Proactively suggest optimized itineraries balancing cost, convenience, and travel time Hotel Coordination & Reconfirmations (10%) Conduct timely hotel reconfirmations to avoid no‑shows or booking discrepancies Coordinate with vendors to ensure rate adherence and service quality Address and resolve real‑time booking issues/escalations Operational Support & Stakeholder Coordination (10%) Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors for smooth execution of bookings Support team during peak volumes and urgent requests Ensure all bookings are properly updated and tracked in systems/tools Requirements Understanding of visa requirements for key business travel destinations (US, UK, Schengen, APAC) Awareness of documentation required for business visas (invitation letters, travel itineraries, etc.) Ability to coordinate with internal teams/vendors for visa processing timelines and travel alignment Strong knowledge of global travel booking processes (air + hotel) Good understanding of fare structures, routing logic, and airline policies Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work under pressure with quick turnaround times High attention to accuracy and compliance 2+ years of experience in corporate travel management / ticketing Exposure to Domestic/International travel bookings is preferred Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package (Base salary $45k – $50k/year for Piscataway, NJ) 10 days of paid annual leave (plus sick leave and national holidays) Maternity & paternity leave plans Comprehensive insurance plan (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long‑/short‑term disability) Retirement savings plans Higher education certification policy Commuter benefits (varies by region) Extensive training opportunities, on‑demand Udemy for Business, coaching from experienced colleagues Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge projects at leading tier‑one banks and financial institutions Flat and approachable organization with diverse, inclusive culture Diversity & Inclusion Synechron is an equal opportunity workplace and affirmative action employer.
