Armed Security Officer

OPS Security Group is seeking professional and customer-service-focused Enhanced Security Officers for a people-facing security role. This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle high-interaction environments while maintaining safety and security standards and deescalation skills. Responsibilities Monitor property and report suspicious activity Respond to emergencies and incidents Complete daily activity logs and incident reports De-escalate conflicts and maintain a professional presence Perform additional security duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of customer service experience 3 years of security, military or law enforcement experience is required. Strong communication and de-escalation skills Basic computer knowledge (email, reports, Microsoft Office, etc.) Reliable transportation Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and OPS training requirements Preferred Experience 3 years of armed security experience Military experience Law Enforcement Experience State or federally certified law enforcement academy training Physical Requirements Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Ability to wear a security uniform Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT): 100-meter run in 66 seconds or less 30 push-ups 26 sit-ups Additional Information CPR/AED/First Aid/BLS training preferred or ability to obtain Must maintain a clean and professional appearance Candidates cannot have previously worked at the Hope Center Important Note About This Environment This is a high-stress, high-interaction environment working with individuals who may be experiencing trauma, emotional distress, or difficult situations. Candidates must be able to remain calm, professional, and emotionally controlled under pressure. This role is not suited for individuals who become easily overwhelmed in emotionally intense environments. Prior experience in shelters, behavioral health, healthcare security, customer service, or high-contact security environments is highly preferred.
