PT - Physical Therapist

Outpatient Physical Therapist - Primary Ortho, Geriatrics

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, and students, performing professional duties related to patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in educational programs for students as assigned.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue continuous learning.
• Maintain compliance with state practice regulations and professional licensure requirements.
• Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid and active state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is desirable.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8 schedule with shifts of 8 hours each.

Assignment Duration

This is a 3-month contract position.
