The Rolloff Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating roll-off dumpster trucks on daily local routes, ensuring efficient waste collection and disposal. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and maintenance of the vehicle to support smooth operations. As an independent driver within a fleet team, the individual must manage route schedules and maintain accurate log documentation using both paper and electronic systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks safely and efficiently on local routes
- Handle loading and unloading of roll-off dumpsters
- Navigate and plan routes to optimize schedule adherence
- Follow all safety compliance standards during vehicle operation
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Schedule routes and manage time to meet daily targets
- Maintain accurate log documentation using paper logs, electronic devices, and iPad software
- Ensure proper waste disposal according to regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving roll-off dumpster trucks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Training in defensive driving and vehicle inspection
- Strong route planning and load securing skills
- Effective time management and communication abilities
- Customer service orientation
