An acclaimed hospitality brand is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join the leadership team of a highly anticipated new restaurant opening in New York City's West Village. This internationally recognized restaurant group is bringing one of its celebrated concepts to the U.S. market and is seeking a hospitality-driven leader who thrives in refined, high-volume environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on floor leader who leads with composure, professionalism, and genuine hospitality while helping build an exceptional service culture from the ground up.

The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people, delivering memorable guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service in an elevated yet approachable dining environment. Experience with South American cuisine or restaurant concepts is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership

• Lead daily front-of-house service operations while serving as a visible and engaged presence on the floor.
• Uphold exceptional service standards and ensure a seamless guest experience throughout every service.
• Support the General Manager in maintaining an organized, efficient, and hospitality-driven operation.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.

Team Development

• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training front-of-house team members.
• Coach and mentor staff through ongoing feedback, education, and performance development.
• Lead by example, inspiring a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Support pre-shift meetings, service training, and ongoing hospitality education.

Operations

• Assist in managing labor, scheduling, and daily operational execution.
• Ensure compliance with New York City Department of Health regulations and company operating standards.
• Monitor service flow, identify operational opportunities, and proactively resolve issues during service.
• Support administrative responsibilities including reporting, invoicing, and operational documentation as needed.

Guest Experience

• Deliver warm, genuine hospitality while building relationships with guests.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, confidence, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Help create an environment that consistently exceeds guest expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience within an upscale or fine dining restaurant.
• Experience as a Service Manager, Dining Room Manager, Assistant General Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Experience within South American or Latin-inspired restaurant concepts is highly preferred.
• Spanish speaking is strongly preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of refined dining service standards in an elevated yet approachable environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Calm, confident leadership style with the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Familiarity with labor management, daily reporting, and restaurant operating systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience participating in restaurant openings or high-profile launches.
• Strong knowledge of the New York City dining market.
• Ability to travel internationally for pre-opening training.
• Full availability throughout the opening and training period.
