Dishwasher

Purpose: To maintain clean dish area and bussing stations. Ensure all dishes are clean and stocked for customers. Complete assigned prep work and light cooking in a safe and efficient manner.

Reports To: PFD Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly Part Time

Pay Group: 1

Essential Responsibilities and Functions

1. Customer service
2. Assist customers with questions in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
3. Offer samples and suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products.
4. Assist with special orders, product requests and returns.
5. Give input to manager on product performance and customer feedback.
6. Develop and maintain knowledge of produce and products.
7. Department maintenance
8. Wash all dishes in an efficient manner while ensuring optimal cleanliness and adherence to health department standards.
9. Maintain plates, containers, utensils and napkins for hot bar and salad bar.
10. Complete assigned prep lists and light food preparation.
11. Maintain coffee station by grinding coffee, stocking cups, lids, cream, sugar, etc.
12. Follow safety, storage and labeling procedures.
13. Remove trash and cardboard promptly.
14. Complete kitchen maintenance and assigned cleaning tasks.
15. Inform kitchen of low quantities or sold-out product.
16. Help package and label food for pre-pack cases.
17. Carry out established closing procedures.
18. Other responsibilities
19. Attend department meetings, storewide meetings and trainings.
20. Perform other tasks assigned by PFD Manager and / or PFD supervisors.

Qualifications:

Experience serving the public.

Familiarity with natural foods.

Ability to project friendly, outgoing personality.

Provide clear and direct communication.

Ability to handle multiple demands.

Exhibit good judgement.

Ability to work with efficiency and safety.

Ability to work in cold, wet conditions.

Regular, predictable attendance.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment.

Ability to bend, lift and reach repeatedly for extended periods of time.

Ability to perform repeated actions for extended periods of time.

Ability and willingness to handle all products that are carried in the store.
