This 13-week Physical Therapist Assistant assignment is based in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Asheville, North Carolina, a vibrant mountain city known for its Blue Ridge views, thriving arts scene, and excellent outdoor recreation. You can enjoy hiking, biking, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as local restaurants, breweries, and live music just minutes from work.In this role, you will provide PTA services under the direction of a physical therapist to adult and geriatric residents in a SNF setting. Your day will focus on delivering individualized treatments such as therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions. You will document all care in the EMR, communicate regularly with the rehab and nursing teams, and support patient and family education.The schedule is full-time days, working five eight-hour shifts per week, with an expectation of approximately 40 hours and a 36-hour weekly guarantee. On-call is not required, allowing for a predictable daytime routine.
