ResponsibilitiesPerforms owner and subcontractor contract reviewsRepresents Gilbane Insurance Group (GIG) on client calls and negotiationsAssesses project risks including but not limited to contractual risk, insurable risk, safety, subcontractor risk, and qualitySupports the Prequal group’s assessment of subcontractor financial and safety risksMaintains updated lists of CCIP pursuits and project data in the risk management systemCoordinates insurance pricing with the Insurance Specialist for CCIP, OCIP DIC, project specific SDI, project specific Pollution and Professional liability, and Builder’s RiskCommunicates all project billing parameters including insurance rates and rate basis to Divisions, BUs, project teams, and Corporate AccountingSupports assigned BU including, but not limited to, Project Executives, Business Development, Estimating, Purchasing, Project Management, Project Engineers, Superintendents, or Accounting in making proper risk management decisions, and provides training as neededMaintains relationships with BU leadership to ensure alignment and set strategy for insurance program tractionRepresents GIG in Gilbane peer groups as neededTracks level 2/3 pursuits and assesses project risk and how best to protect Gilbane from risksCommunicates Level 3 recommendations to GIG Department Head prior to the Enterprise Risk ReviewEstablishes Risk Management strategy with a Division based upon GIG’s policies and procedures as defined in BaselineProvides claim support and loss history analysis as neededSupports and collaborates with all GIG department members as neededSupports the internal audit process of projects within the applicable BUsInforms the Risk Management Director of all Risk Management matters and obtains approvals as neededCoaches and mentors less experienced team membersSupports a positive and inclusive work environmentQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in a related field5-10 years of experience in the construction or risk management industriesOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAdvanced knowledge of insurance market including coverages, trends, and pricingAdvanced written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsAbility to function as an integral part of a team while being highly collaborativeAbility to coordinate and manage efforts involving individuals from different geographic areas as well as external partnersAdvanced financial and analytical skillsAbility to understand issues quickly and follow through with a resolutionAdvanced customer service skillsAdvanced problem solving, planning, multi-tasking, and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and other critical RMIS softwareAbility to work independently and handle complex issues while under minimal supervisionInteracts well with and can influence regional and BU senior executivesSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.The pay ranges from $110,000 - 145,000 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
