Technical Project Manager - Data

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 2 years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management leading complex technology projects and programs.
• We look for demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the workplace to support technical program management workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• We require the ability to review and verify AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertainty exists and following data-handling expectations.
• We expect proven analytical reasoning and problem-solving ability to decompose objectives into manageable tasks.
• We require technical proficiency and experience with relevant platforms and approved tools and technologies.
• We look for experience in resource optimization and/or resource planning.
• We value prior experience managing diverse stakeholder groups, building effective relationships with cross-functional teams and clients, and overseeing project governance.
• We need applied experience in data governance, data management, or data controls within financial services, along with knowledge of data risk management, data lineage, and data quality controls.
• We require strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with business and technology teams such as application owners, data architects, and information owners.
• We expect the ability to collaborate across varied stakeholders and drive outcomes.
• We look for a solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security, plus knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• Preferred: familiarity with data management and architecture frameworks such as DAMA and TOGAF.
• Preferred: experience with data management tools, technologies, and governance models.
• Preferred: understanding of controls and risk management concepts, including the ability to assess policies, procedures, and process flows.
• Preferred: knowledge of financial regulations such as GDPR, BCBS, PRA, and other relevant standards.
• Preferred: exposure to SDLC and change management processes, and experience in financial services including markets, securities services, or payments.

• We analyze and break down complex business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities, using critical thinking and problem-solving.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment to accelerate project planning and risk synthesis, such as drafting plans, RAID logs, and status narratives, while validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
• We support the optimization of allocated resources, including people, budget, and technology, to plan, schedule, and advance project and program initiatives.
• We manage stakeholder engagement by building productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and clients to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
• We assist with risk management by making informed decisions in line with our risk management practices and policies, helping ensure project success and compliance.
• We promote reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches for project governance artifacts and reporting, with human review and alignment to delivery standards.
• We support Application Owners and Information Owners in adopting and evidencing data-related technology control procedures.
• We maintain a knowledge base for data-related technology control procedures, including best practices, standards, guidelines, and training materials.
• We contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating feedback, incidents, and regulatory or audit themes.
• We proactively identify and analyze hidden problems and patterns in data to drive process improvements.
• We contribute to CIB tooling requirements by proposing new features that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of controls.
• We collaborate effectively within a team environment while managing changing and competing priorities.
