Overview

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to ED patients, including initial triage, comprehensive assessment, continuous monitoring, and rapid intervention for emergent conditions.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per order, including vasopressors and other high-acuity medications, and manage related drips with careful documentation.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for orders, documentation, medication administration, and patient tracking to maintain accurate, timely records.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, case management, and other team members to stabilize patients with high-acuity presentations such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
- Operate specialty ED equipment as needed (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun) and assist with airway management, resuscitation, and ongoing patient reassessment.
- Float within the ED as required to support patient flow, while upholding safety, infection control, and quality standards.

Requirements
- Active New York State RN license with NURSYS verification (current status).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (current and eligible for verification as required).
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience; travel experience documented.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- RTO (requested time off) must be included at submission.
- Must live within travel policy or be willing to travel: local candidates within 75 miles may qualify for local-rate compensation; otherwise TRAVEL eligibility applies.
- Up-to-date resume including ED experience and travel history.
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics.
