Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Utica, New York. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive ED nursing assessments across pediatric and adult patients; triage and reassess to ensure timely care.
- Administer medications, manage IVs, monitor vital signs and cardiac status, and respond to acute changes in patient condition.
- Document care in the EPIC EMR, including orders, progress notes, and discharge planning communications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary ED team (physicians, NP/PA, techs, case management) to implement patient care plans and coordinate transfers or admissions.
- Provide patient and family education, prepare patients for discharge or admission, and support discharge planning and referrals as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; all RN licenses must be verifiable; RTO must be included at submission.
- Certifications: Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC certification must be in hand.
- Experience: 2+ years of ED experience with some pediatric exposure; travel experience is required.
- EMR: EPIC experience is required.
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics; ability to float to related ED areas.
- Locals within 75 miles eligible for local rate.
