Overview

Entry-level Staff Accountant supporting day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This individual will assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable processes including invoicing, reconciliations, and follow-up on outstanding balances
• Assist with sales tax filings and maintain compliance with state and local requirements
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, recurring entries) as part of month-end close
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain prepaid expense schedules and ensure accurate tracking
• Reconcile accrual accounts and support period-end reporting
• Process credit card transactions and expense reimbursements, ensuring proper GL coding
• Complete daily cash reconciliations and support weekly bank deposits
• Manage petty cash activity and maintain documentation
• Support quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
• Utilize ERP/accounting systems to process transactions and maintain records
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships accepted)
• Basic understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Exposure to month-end close processes
• Experience handling expense reports or credit card reconciliations

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.

Working to get all benefits into the system by the end of the week

This is a fully onsite position in Troy,MI.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 8, 2026.
