New Part-Time Rehabilitation Aide Position Available in Floral Park, NY!

Are you a college student or a recent college graduate who is looking to pursue a career in physical therapy?

Well, then I may have the right position for you...

Hi, my name is Negin Jalayer, owner of Marathon Physical Therapy!

I remember so vividly being in your position…
… do I apply to Physical Therapy School?
… what about OT?
… maybe I should become an Athletic Trainer!
… how about taking a year off and figuring things out?

Once I made the decision to Apply to PT school my mind started to race some more…
… what are the requirements to get in?
… do I need to take the GRE?
… is my GPA good enough?
… there are only 30 seats!
… will I get accepted?

That is when I also read the fine print on the applications…
… Observation Hours
… Hours of Clinical Experience
… Letter of Reference from a Physical Therapist

Hmm… I didn’t know I needed all of that.

That is where my first jobs came into play! It was a physical therapy aide…… aka physical therapy tech position as some people like to call it.

It was an outpatient physical therapy position… just like this one!

Such a great experience
… I trained and worked alongside a wonderful physical therapist
… I learned all about customer service and time management
… I helped keep the office organized and running smoothly
… I learned medical terminology, treatment plans, and modalities

But most importantly… I learned that I wanted to become a PHYSICAL THERAPIST.

I wanted to help people!

Hopefully, that's not too cliché.

Fast forward to now…

I now own and operate a very successful physical therapy clinic here in Floral Park, NY

Over the past couple of years, we have been able to help 1000s of local residents.

The key "metrics" we pride ourselves on are not volume, the number of new patients, or gross revenue....  but our customer satisfaction and staff retention rates.

Most of our staff has been with us for 3+ years after hire, and the ones that do leave typically are the ones who move out of the area.

And for that, we are blessed to have such a great team here at Marathon Physical Therapy!

• Use us as a stepping stone before physical therapy school.
• Learn the ins and outs of how a physical therapy clinic works.
• Assist the therapy team with bringing patients back for their sessions, keep the office clean and organized, follow instructions by the therapists, schedule patients, and do other daily tasks.
• Have A Lot of Fun While Make A Difference In Someone's Life!

Salary and Benefits Compensation is Highly Competitive in the local market. We prefer our physical therapy aides not work multiple jobs to support their living (Unless they want to) to prevent burnout. So we make sure our salary and benefits package is reflective of that.

Small disclaimer of sorts … if you are simply looking to see if physical therapy is the right career for you, I highly recommend not applying to this job. The reason I say this is you can schedule observation hours with our clinic or dozens of other clinics in the area. We are only looking for individuals who want to work in the field of physical therapy.
