Electrical Engineer IIIDirect Hire | Full-Time | Permanent | OnsiteLocations- Cincinnati, OH or Lexington, KY or Louisville, KYPosition OverviewAn established engineering consulting firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join its Manufacturing Project Group. This onsite role is responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise on industrial and manufacturing facility projects from concept through completion.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical design skills, project leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. This position also supports business development efforts through proposal development and client engagement activities.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and support power distribution systems for manufacturing and industrial facilities.Design motor feeders, starters, building power systems, and lighting systems.Develop designs for specialty electrical systems, including: Emergency power systemsGenerator systemsUPS systemsGround fault protection systemsLightning protection systemsPrepare engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.Perform voltage drop, short-circuit, and arc flash analyses.Coordinate project activities with engineering disciplines, contractors, and project stakeholders.Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and project requirements.Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution.Participate in proposal development and business development initiatives.Provide technical leadership and contribute to project planning and execution.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and clients to successfully deliver projects.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to pursue licensure.Experience designing electrical systems for industrial, manufacturing, or commercial facilities.Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.Strong electrical design expertise across a variety of industrial applications.Experience with infrastructure design for manufacturing facilities.Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural construction practices.Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including: NECNFPANESCANSI/IEEEDemonstrated leadership experience and ability to influence stakeholders.Experience building client relationships and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.Supervisory or people-management experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future sponsorship requirements.TravelUp to 25% domestic travel may be required.Working ConditionsSome assignments may require visits to active construction sites.Work environments may include uneven terrain typical of industrial and construction projects.Occasional lifting or movement of field-testing equipment may be required.BenefitsComprehensive benefits package includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceVirtual Healthcare ServicesHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) with employer contributionsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(k) Retirement PlanShort-Term and Long-Term Disability CoverageLife and AD&D InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Volunteer Time OffPaid HolidaysTuition ReimbursementBereavement LeaveOptional Life, Accident, and Critical Illness InsuranceCompensationCompetitive compensation package based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.Additional InformationPlease note that this job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities, or activities required for the position.
