Technician

Overview Supports and assists in the design, development, production, testing, installation, programming, operation and maintenance of distribution communications and controls equipment. Performs equipment maintenance, calibration, mechanical and electrical repairs, adjustments and monitoring of communication and controls products. Experienced with complex instruments, testing equipment and gauges. May test models, write reports, identify problems and suggest solutions. Experience with complex instruments, testing equipment and gauges. May test models, write reports, identify problems and suggest solutions. Qualifications and Skills Electrical or communications troubleshooting experience Networking knowledge (firewalls, connectivity, Ethernet) Microsoft Office (Excel, Access proficiency preferred) Database updating and maintenance Basic understanding of electrical engineering or distribution systems Non-Technical Skills Strong communication and collaboration Team-oriented approach Analytical and troubleshooting mindset Ability to work independently in field conditions Experience Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in communications, IT, or electrical troubleshooting. Candidates may come from backgrounds in telecommunications, network support, or electrical panel wiring Company Preferences None specified, but experience from telecom companies such as Comcast or similar would be beneficial Nice-to-Have Skills Electrical distribution experience Recloser or cap bank familiarity Network configuration experience Prior utilities or telecom installation experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
