The Role

\n

We are looking for a Retention Manager to own the end-to-end execution of our email and SMS campaigns. You will manage the full campaign lifecycle - from initial concept and merchandising calendar alignment through creative briefing, build, QA, and deployment. You will lead the creative and content production pipeline, ensuring the right message reaches the right customer on time, every time.

What You Will Own

\n

Campaign Execution

\n

\n
• Own the full campaign lifecycle from concept through deployment for both prospect and customer audiences
\n
• Build, schedule, QA, and monitor all email and SMS sends across the CRM platform
\n
• Maintain and enforce send calendar discipline - ensuring campaigns deploy on time with correct segmentation, content, and suppression logic
\n
• Partner with lifecycle and acquisition leads to translate strategic priorities into executable campaigns
\n

Merchandising Calendar

\n

\n
• Own the retention marketing merchandising calendar - coordinating product launches,, seasonal pushes, and evergreen sends
\n
• Align the email/SMS calendar with broader marketing, and product calendars to maximize impact
\n
• Manage send cadence to balance revenue goals with subscriber health
\n

\n

Creative & Asset Production

\n

\n
• Lead the creative production pipeline for retention marketing - briefing, reviewing, and approving email/SMS creative, 3D assets, and content
\n
• Manage the creative and content production team and external creative resources as needed
\n
• Establish and maintain creative production workflows, timelines, and quality standards
\n
• Ensure brand consistency across all retention touchpoints while driving creative testing and iteration
\n

QA & Operational Excellence

\n

\n
• Own the QA process for all outbound sends - links, rendering, segmentation accuracy, dynamic content, lists etc.
\n
• Monitor send health metrics and take action
\n
• Build and maintain operational documentation - SOPs, checklists, and runbooks for campaign execution
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 3-7 years in CRM/email marketing operations, ideally in DTC ecommerce or beauty/CPG
\n
• Deep hands-on experience with an enterprise ESP or engagement marketing platform (Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, Sailthru) - you can build a campaign from scratch, not just brief one
\n
• Strong project management instincts - you naturally build calendars, track dependencies, and hold people to deadlines
\n
• Experience managing creative teams or production workflows - you know how to brief designers and move assets through review cycles efficiently
\n
• Detail-oriented to the point of obsession - you catch the broken link, the wrong segment, the misaligned image before it ships
\n
• Comfortable with high send volume and a fast-moving calendar
\n
• You default to process over heroics - you would rather build a system that prevents errors than personally catch them every time
