Plating Technician

Position Overview:

In this role, you will play a critical part in the metal finishing process by preparing, processing, and inspecting workpieces to ensure high-quality surface coatings. You will work in a supportive, fast-paced environment with consistent hours and a predictable daily routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process metal workpieces through timed cleaning, pickling, rinsing, and plating tank sequences.
  
• Set and monitor tank temperatures and processing parameters to ensure quality standards.
  
• Load and unload items onto hooks, racks, or baskets with care.
  
• Perform visual inspections of finished parts to catch plating defects, thin coverage, or rough spots.
  
• Operate drying equipment, including ovens and dryers, to complete the finishing process.
  
• Assist with routine tank maintenance, including draining, cleaning, refilling, and removing excess plating buildup from racks.
  
• Report equipment wear, damage, or process issues to management promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience in electroplating, chemical processing, or industrial surface finishing required.
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  
• Physical capability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
  
• Candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $20.00
