FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Food Service Worker – Full‑time and part‑time positions at Emma Willard School, 285 Pawling Avenue, Troy, NY 12180. Applicants must apply online only. Schedule: Monday‑Friday 6:00 am–2:00 pm; weekends 7:00 am–1:30 pm. Full‑time and part‑time options available. Previous food‑service experience preferred; training available. Internal Employee Referral Bonus. Pay Range: $17.50–$19.00 per hour. Job Summary Prepares, presents, and serves food to students and staff. Supports kitchen operations, maintains cleanliness, and ensures food‑safety compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure designated ingredients. Carry pans, kettles, and trays between stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food‑safety, and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils. Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment. Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor. Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash‑control procedures. Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
