About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer to take on a pivotal senior leadership role with a focus on strategic fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of development professionals, managing a portfolio of top donors, and overseeing the organization's fundraising efforts, including a major capital campaign. This role requires a commitment to the mission of the organization, which is dedicated to providing long-term, relationship-centered care to women and children in need. The Chief Development Officer will work closely with the executive team and the board to ensure that all fundraising strategies align with the organization's mission and strategic objectives. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a Christian church, as the organization is faith-based. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, including experience in leading or significantly contributing to capital campaigns and securing major gifts. A servant-leadership style, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams are essential. The role demands a strategic thinker with a strong background in donor-centered philanthropy, and a commitment to the values of equity, inclusion, and stewardship. A bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience, with a minimum of 4 years' in senior leadership, are required.
