Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for cardiovascular surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgeons during procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, ECMO, transplant, lung resection, VATS, and vascular interventions.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Provide perioperative care and monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to call requirements, including night and weekend shifts, ensuring timely assistance.
  
  
• 
  Support other OR team members and float to different units as needed within Berkeley medical center.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold valid licensure as a CVOR nurse or surgical technologist with cardiovascular and thoracic surgery experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience supporting CVOR cases, with travel experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit proficiency in sterile processing and OR protocols.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong clinical skills in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery settings.
  
  
• 
  Be able to respond to call within 30 minutes and adapt to floating requirements.
  
  
• 
  Capable of working with flexible shifts and longer contracts.
