I'm currently partnered with a well-established engineering consultancy that's looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to its growing team in North Charleston, South Carolina .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and transportation projects , while playing a key role in project delivery and mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery.
- Leading geotechnical investigations, field exploration, laboratory testing, and engineering analyses.
- Performing foundation, slope stability, settlement, seepage, liquefaction, and seismic analyses.
- Preparing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations.
- Designing shallow and deep foundation systems, retaining structures, and earthworks.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across a variety of high-profile projects.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience within a consulting environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) licence required.
- Strong report writing and technical analysis skills.
- Experience with industry-standard geotechnical software.
- Comfortable balancing office-based design work with occasional field investigations.
