Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed


Required: 26-week contracts with guaranteed 48 hours/week. Previous work in Children's only hospital preferred

Job Summary

Under general supervision, provide respiratory therapy services for all age levels in areas served by the department. Perform therapeutic treatments, diagnostic testing, and monitoring as prescribed by medical staff. Maintain respiratory equipment and records, and respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed.
• Record treatment information and patient responses in electronic medical records.
• Act as a resource for medical staff.
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring.
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Clean and maintain respiratory equipment.
• Maintain necessary therapy records.
• Participate in quick response teams for cardiac and respiratory arrests.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment operation.
• Clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems.
• Ability to interpret patient information to identify needs.
• Ability to work under stress and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
• Basic computer skills.
