The **Buyer** willincrease company profitability and customer satisfaction by purchasing products in a timely manner, at the lowest cost, while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This position analyzes trends in sales activity using recent history, and forecasts to determine the correct timing and quantity of purchases. The Buyers also keep abreast of external changes affecting both the supply and demand of products and will adjust ordering parameters as necessary.**What’s In It For You?*** Highly competitive benefits package* Medical* Dental* Vision* 401k with employer match* Life insurance* Short- and Long-Term Disability* Health Saving Account with employer match* Critical Illness & Accident Insurance* Employee assistance program* PTO and 9 paid holidays, as well as your birthday!And more!**Responsibilities Include:*** Implement short and long-term purchasing strategies set forth by JH Larson leadership.* Take part in researching new or potential products and present information for sales/marketing along with vendor communications.* Review and maintain purchasing parameters and adjust for Service Level and Turn KPIs.* Fully utilize corporate agreements where available and establish blanket purchase orders where appropriate.* Make recommendations regarding the consolidation or alignment of product lines in all locations and address overstock or non-returnable inventory.* Promote AD and align the vendor selections with this buying group whenever it is in JHL’s best interest.* Maintain appropriate documentation and files for all purchases made.* Monitor delivery of materials to meet the inventory needs of all branches.## Qualifications**Qualifications:****Education*** Highschool diploma or GED required* Bachelor’s degree preferred**Experience and/or Training*** Minimum 1 year in similar position* Familiar with the products being purchased, which includes understanding how products work, product specifications, and customer preferences* Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills* Ability to occasionally drive to branch and other locations (10%)* Computer competency with distribution software, Eclipse knowledge preferred* Wholesale distribution experience preferred* 2+ years in similar position preferred**Licenses/Certificates*** Valid US Driver’s license and/or reliable transportationWe are committed to providing salary ranges for open positions.
