Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $57.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Option to sign for 4x12s 19000730 with no call, or 3x12s 19000730 with call. If 3x12s call requirement: at least 1, 12-hour call shift bi-weekly.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Key Responsibilities

• Float will be required to other NICU units or facilities if needed.
• Weekend coverage every other unless the need changes.
• Utilize unit systems: Pyxis/Omnicell.
• Document using EPIC (must have at least 1 year of EPIC experience).
• Care for patients with the following diagnoses: babies 22 weeks gestation and greater, abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP.
• Perform and assist with special procedures including: Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery.
• Operate and manage special equipment including: Artic Sun, Blanketroll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, Client Dual Incubators, Dreager Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy.

Education Requirements

• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification required
• South Carolina (SC) RN license required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU
• At least 1 year of EPIC documentation system experience
• No first-time travelers at this time

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift position (19000730)
• Float requirement to other NICU units or facilities as needed
• Every-other-weekend coverage required (subject to change based on unit need)
• On-call requirement if on 3x12 schedule: at least 1 twelve-hour call shift bi-weekly

• Flu vaccine required no exemptions accepted.
• No first-time travelers; minimum 2 years of NICU experience required.
