Manufacturing Plant Director, OEE & Lean ExcellenceReady to orchestrate two Phoenix Stamping Group plants like a well-tuned production system?Who you report toVice President of ManufacturingWhat you’ll tackleOwn day-to-day operations and metrics for two facilities—safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.Lead Production, Maintenance, Tooling, and Material Handling teams to achieve targets.Be the safety champion: drive committees, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and statutory training.Build and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand and inventory goals.Lift OEE to elevate OTD, increase throughput, and optimize variable labor impact on the P&L.Run shipping/receiving, inventory control (including cycle counts), and material handling equipment maintenance.Coordinate equipment installations and facility layout initiatives; manage contractors and on-site execution.Audit standard work and process control plans; reduce defects and avoid cost of poor quality.Review quality metrics with plant leaders; pinpoint root causes and implement durable fixes.Right-size staffing; grow and evaluate Supervisors, Leads, and hourly talent.Identify operator skill gaps; design training with the right internal experts.Advance a strong 6S culture and visual management; steward the Quick and Easy Kaizen (QEK) program.Stay current on modern operations methods and translate them into practice for your teams.Build and manage plant budgets; influence variable labor and operating expenses on the P&L.Partner cross-functionally to enable change; communicate timelines and deliverables clearly.Operate within company standards for quality management, health & safety, environmental policy, legal requirements, and ethics.How you’ll be judgedSafety Recordables (RIR)Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)6S and QEK activityCOPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)On-Time Delivery (OTD)Operating Expense vs. BudgetGross Margin %What you bringBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience5+ years leading teams in manufacturingMetal stamping/fabrication background preferredDeep Lean manufacturing toolkit and mindsetDemonstrated P&L responsibility and impactQuality system experience (ISO 9001:2015 a plus)Fluency in Excel-based data analysis and ERP reportingProven ERP-based scheduling expertiseClear, influential communicator and seasoned people leaderProfessional strengths we valueLeadership / People ManagementContinuous ImprovementStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Supervisory ExperienceOSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)Production OptimizationLean Manufacturing PrinciplesCoaching & Mentoring ExperienceOperational Metrics & KPI ManagementERP & MRP SystemsProduction Planning & SchedulingInventory Management & ControlWorkplace Safety & EHS ManagementScheduling ExperienceBudgeting / Forecasting ExperienceTools, machines, and tech you’ll touchMIG WelderThread Gauges (GO/NO-GO)CNC Laser CutterPunch PressPress BrakeStamping PressCold Heading MachineRobotic WelderERP SoftwareCalipers and MicrometersIndustrial Robot #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
