As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Associate in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. You will provide customer-focused assistance, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government services by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, perimeters, and common areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assist with directing individuals to appropriate service areas, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed by established procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications, maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic government services environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
