A&P Mechanic Experience Preferred

Aircraft Maintenance Service Writer Duties and Responsibilities

The Aircraft Maintenance Service Writer translates the customers' needs into work orders for technicians, prepares quotes for customers and bills customers when the work is completed.

Aircraft Maintenance Service Writers additional duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

• Data Entry
• Assist the Director of Maintenance in processing new Service Orders
• Assist the Director of Maintenance with Quoting and Invoicing customers
• Assist the Parts Manager as needed
• Post and issue parts to the shop floor
• Inputs Discrepancies and Corrective action from the Maintenance Discrepancies Sheet
• Post parts to shop orders and distribute parts to technicians on the floor
• Research and establishes pricing for parts and repairs for Maintenance Quotations

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 2-plus years of experience in a service advisor role strongly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient computer key boarding skills
• Customer Service experience
• Valid Real ID Driver's License

Starting Wage Range: $24.00-25.00/hour

Full Time, Day Shift, Weekdays

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
