Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and devising tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, working alongside physicians or independently based on your credentialing
• Educating patients and their families on health promotion, preventive care, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and treatments according to your scope of practice
• Managing follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Engaging collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate documentation within electronic health records (EHR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Hawaii
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within three months)
