School Registered Nurse (RN) in Painted Post, NY

Opportunities are available for LPNs to provide essential 1:1 care for medically fragile students-including medication and tube feeding administration-and for RNs and LPNs as Program Nurses. These professionals will work within multi-disabled classrooms, handling medication administration, nebulizer treatments, and tube feedings. Assignments are open on various campuses within the region, all within supportive and collaborative educational settings.


Your background should include:

• Current active NY LPN or RN license
• Experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or working with medically fragile children preferred
• Familiarity with administering medications, tube feedings, and nebulizer treatments
• Ability to confidently manage emergent medical situations and communicate effectively with students, families, and team members
• A compassionate, patient-focused approach and strong organizational abilities

Expect to:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students as specified by individualized health plans
• Administer daily, scheduled, and emergency medications and treatments
• Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Understand and implement protocols for infection prevention and emergency response
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, families, and staff to ensure an inclusive and safe learning environment
