Vascular Area Service Manager – CVS Covidien Sales LLC, Kansas City, Missouri, United States of America A Day in the Life The Vascular Area Service Manager collaborates with key PVH stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and execute service strategies to achieve short‑ and long‑term business objectives within the assigned area as it relates to service activities and programs. The role drives execution of key initiatives to achieve Vascular Area level goals, provides direction and leadership to clinical employees, and maximizes area personnel performance by developing and motivating Service employees to deliver unsurpassed patient care, physician/AHP service, and technical expertise in hospitals, clinics, and other care settings. This position reports directly to the Area Director and operationally to the National Service Director. Service Leadership Lead all area and district clinical support activities and programs to efficiently optimize resources, deliver customer value, and provide exceptional clinical guidance; identify service opportunities with analytics and field visits, and address them through coaching or specific measurable projects. Work with districts, territories, and Area Sales Directors to ensure efficient and effective scheduling of vascular procedures and clinical support. Collaborate with sales teams and key stakeholders to coordinate and execute strategies that achieve service‑related business objectives. Lead and drive changes focused on strengthening PVH vascular acumen and prioritizing implementation of expanded PVH solutions to customers, enhancing engagement. Responsible for hiring and recruiting Vascular Clinical Specialists and maintaining a diverse bench of talent. Partner with sales teams to drive key service initiatives and provide service assessments via business reviews, QSRs, and other metrics that highlight the value of Medtronic service to customers. Align service resources with business priorities and customer demands in coordination with area and district leadership. PVH Vascular Partner with the National Service Director, Area Sales Directors, and Vascular DMs to execute PVH vascular strategies, implant, revenue, and expense goals. Drive cross‑vascular support for key PVH programs and needs. Ensure accountability through adherence to deadlines and timely documentation of clinical service‑related activities, including daily Salesforce.com entry of all case coverage and non‑procedure activities. People Management Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to direct reports, conduct performance reviews, set goals, and implement corrective actions as needed. Coach and motivate employees to achieve service, implant, and revenue goals, fostering a positive, respectful, and team‑oriented environment. Lead area‑level districts to execute key service goals and objectives. Manage the service team to deliver unsurpassed service, technical expertise, and support implant and revenue achievements. Assist employees with clinical and professional development planning. Maintain a diverse bench of clinical specialist talent for future hiring opportunities. Business Operations Communicate PVH vascular, area, and district vision, goals, and activities. Oversee sales support, inventory/OPC, credentialing, expense management, data privacy, PO pending, warranty credits, and required training. Ensure efficient use of inventory, expenses, and assets. Apply customer‑focused quality concepts. Must Have – Basic Qualifications BA/BS in engineering, life sciences, healthcare, nursing, exercise physiology, or business. Five years of successful healthcare, field clinical/sales support professional experience. Two years of direct employee management experience in a healthcare organization. Nice to Have – Desired/Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated business acumen. Experience in a healthcare discipline. Ability to learn and understand technical aspects of business. Ability to manage, coach, and develop managers and employees. Critical and strategic thinking skills; ability to execute strategy. Medtronic experience in a role that interacts with PVH vascular field organization. Knowledge of local cardiac customer base. Knowledge of PVH vascular service coverage requirements for implants and follow‑ups. Experience in sales, marketing, training, healthcare, technical services or related areas in the medical device industry. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. U.S. Work Authorization & Sponsorship Medtronic offers U.S. work‑authorization sponsorship for Principal‑level roles and above. Roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment. Benefits & Compensation Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) locations are $125,000. The base salary range is applicable across the United States and may vary based on experience, education, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) that provides the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation for meeting or exceeding goals. Benefits for regular employees (20+ hours per week) include health, dental and vision insurance; Health Savings Account; Healthcare Flexible Spending Account; life insurance; long‑term disability; dependent daycare spending account; tuition assistance; and a global well‑being program. Benefits for all regular employees include incentive plans, a 401(k) plan with employer contribution and match, short‑term disability, paid time off, paid holidays, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, an Employee Assistance Program, a non‑qualified retirement plan supplement, and a capital accumulation plan for senior positions. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, per applicable state law. Some benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
