Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift OnlyWarehouse AssociateMonday-Friday, Second Shift 3:00 PM – 11:30 PMChester, CTPerforms all warehousing functions required to fulfill warehousing and distribution operations at a facility.Duties and ResponsibilitiesApplies simple and some intermediate skills to perform functions in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to the position within assigned areaResolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levelsAble to prioritize work according to established guidelinesAdapts to changing priorities to meet customer demandsSimple computer literacyReceives and processes delivery and storage of all parts from received from divisional receipts, vendor receipts, subcontractor receipts, and small package receiptsAssist in maintaining the proper storage of partsUses RF Scanner device (barcode reader) to pull products from warehouseUses proper packing materials and methods to move partsTransports kits to the assembly area as directedMaintains kit holding areaWorks with scales, calculators, and other devices to make sure production counts are accurateOperates WAVE and JLG lifts, electrical jacks, and other equipment used to move productWill be on WAVE and JLG lift up to 20 feet in the air at timesMay be trained to use forkliftScopeEntry-level job with little or no prior relevant experienceWork is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomyPhysical Demands and AbilitiesAble to lift up to 50 poundsRegularly performs repetitive tasks (picking up items, putting down items, turning, twisting, bending, reaching, and stepping onto and off of a lift (18" from ground level)Able to stand entire shiftAble to continuously walk throughout the warehouse floor (can be up to 4-5 miles of walking per shift)Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accuratelySpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.All Employees ShallComply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.Attend scheduled EH&S training program.Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.Recommend improved EH&S practices.Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties.
