Description

• Conduct assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and careful observation.
• Create tailored treatment plans designed to meet immediate goals while also addressing longer-term communication, cognition, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on vital areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care plans.
• Guide patients and their families with education that extends progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to remain abreast of advancements in your field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within the initial 30 days of employment.
