Vita Flex Therapeutics is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team at our state-of-the-art facility in Oyster Bay, New York. Work Environment

You will be working in an onsite rehabilitation facility that emphasizes collaboration and innovation. Our clinic is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and technologies that enhance treatment efficacy. The working environment fosters teamwork and open communication, with ample opportunities to engage with other healthcare professionals, such as Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to develop comprehensive care strategies. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify specific rehabilitation needs and objectives.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities and exercises.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities designed to alleviate pain and enhance physical capabilities.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and self-management techniques to support their recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy for effective pain management and rehabilitation.
• Monitor and document patient progress, evaluating effectiveness of treatment strategies, and adjust plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Maintain an organized treatment area, ensuring equipment and resources are readily available for sessions while adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Provide emotional and motivational support to patients, fostering a positive therapeutic environment that encourages recovery.
• Uphold professional ethics and standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and a respectful, supportive atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, athletic injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related mobility challenges. Your expertise will be critical in addressing each patient's unique needs, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care tailored to their specific rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• Proven clinical skills, with at least one year of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation facility is preferable.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
