Responsibilities:Be responsible for tier-1 services that power hundreds of millions of end-usersOwn tech design for various initiatives and projects that impact the commerce business and end-user experiencesHelp shape the commerce platform with new capabilities and improvements that accelerate our business.Be involved in code and architecture reviews for team membersParticipate in Agile methodology and SCRUM processes such as Sprint PlanningBacklog grooming, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives with the teamCollaborate with peers and cross-functional partners to disambiguate, de-risk, and solve business problemsProvide on-call support for critical services on a rotational basisOwn features/functionality and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and robust architectureBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of related experience crating and coding backend services Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experienceProven track record of driving impactExperience in backend server-side development for tier-1 servicesExpertise in at least one language on the JVMExperience working with cloud providersFamiliarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL)Experience investigating technical components and taking ownership of feature developmentThe hiring range for this position in New York City is $148,700 - $199,400. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
