Pediatric and Orthodontic Dental Assistant

We are seeking a dependable, outgoing customer service driven individual to fill our Full time Dental Assisting position (average 35hrs/week). Our office provides an exciting, rewarding and team oriented atmosphere for each team member. You would be responsible for interacting with our patients and their families regarding their oral healthcare needs and services we provide. We pride ourselves in providing excellent care and customer service so communication skills are a must. Attention to detail is paramount as you would also be responsible for preparing our patients for care and assisting our dentist on procedures.
Dental Assistant's Objective:
To educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and their unique dental needs.
To facilitate patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing the patient, treatment rooms and instruments.
Responsibilities:
Review patient charts daily
Prepare rooms for treatment-
Obtain patient x-rays in accordance to regulations
Maintain/Clean your work environment
Greeting patient and preparing them for treatment
Assist dentist in chairside procedures
Managing patients and families
Providing detailed post-care instructions
Explaining procedures and expectations
Cleaning up the patient after treatment
Reviewing oral hygiene techniques and its importance
Maintaining accurate dental records in our electronic record system( Eaglesoft and Ortho Edge knowledge a plus)
Digital scanning with Itero scanner
Delivering appliances
Promote the office
Changing out wires and brackets
Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
Adjusting retainer fit

full-time $18 - $25 per hour

Salary: 18.00+ (Based on Experience. Those that possess greater knowledge and skill sets will be offered a higher starting salary)

• Basic life support
• Certified Orthodontic Assistant
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

BLS Certification
Dental X-ray Certification
1+ years dental assisting experience required, orthodontic experience preferred
Background check
Experience with Electronic Dental Records desired
Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required)
