Job Description

Job Summary:

Experienced Cath Lab/EP Technician responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cardiac catheterization lab. Provides expert clinical assistance to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate patient care during complex cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up patient environments and equipment for cath lab and electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, monitoring patient status throughout.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cath lab equipment, including monitors and diagnostic systems.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols during all procedures.
• Document procedures accurately in electronic health records, including EPIC.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including radiation badge management and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess 2+ years of recent cath lab or EP experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS certifications.
• Maintain a valid South Carolina license (SCRQSA) or be eligible for licensure.
• Demonstrate proficiency in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitoring.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of EP procedures and equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
