Social Media Marketing Intern

Manuscript Media Co. is a boutique social media agency founded by a former Hollywood strategist. We partner with founder-led brands to craft strategic, story-forward social media campaigns rooted in a deep understanding of their target audience. The Opportunity We're seeking a creative, curious, motivated Social Media Intern to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain real-world experience working across multiple client accounts, learning the ins and outs of agency life, and contributing to impactful campaigns and content creation. If you're passionate about social media, storytelling, strategy and want to build a career in digital marketing, this internship is for you. What You\'ll Do Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for multiple clients across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook, including graphics, short-form videos, and copy. Content Capture: Support on-site client shoots by capturing behind-the-scenes content, B-roll footage, and real-time social content. Social Media Management: Help schedule and publish posts using social media management tools like Rella and Sprout Social. Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on behalf of clients, maintaining brand voice and fostering community. Outbound Engagement: Proactively engage with target audiences, industry influencers, and brand communities to grow client presence and build relationships. Trend Research: Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and viral content to inform client strategies. Campaign Support: Contribute to brainstorming sessions and help execute social media campaigns from concept to completion. What We're Looking For Required: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. Curious self-starter who possesses strong critical thinking skills and an eagerness to learn. Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: Basic graphic design and video editing skills a plus. Experience managing social media accounts (personal, student organization, or professional). Portfolio of content creation work or personal social media presence demonstrating creativity.
