Legal Advisor
The purpose of this role is to help deliver, manage and support legal work within dentsu.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to dentsu China's brands, service lines and centralised functions.
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with advertising clients and vendors.
- Provide data privacy advice in relation to existing and new products and services and interactions with regulators.
- Prepare and deliver training on data privacy and other Legal & Compliance topics to both non-legally qualified and legally-qualified colleagues.
- Implement best practice in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property and data privacy.
- Provide legal advice in other areas as required, including litigation and dispute resolution, companies law and corporate governance.
Person specification
- PRC-qualified lawyer.
- A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience.
- In-depth experience and knowledge of key legal principles relating to data privacy, contracts, intellectual property rights, company law and litigation.
- Experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements.
- Knowledge of corporate governance.
- Experience of dealing directly with executive-level stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to build relationships.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a diverse workload.
- Collaborative attitude essential to working in a small, well-coordinated team.
- Advertising, media or technology industry experience would be a plus, but is not a pre-requisite.
- Candidates with either law firm or in-house experience are equally welcome.
