Key Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
• Previous experience working in a Special Education setting, preferably in a 1:1 student-teacher arrangement
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and support staff
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic school environment

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one instruction and support to students with special needs, tailoring approaches to each learner’s unique requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and monitor effective IEPs
