Job Description:


- Are you ready to take your ultrasonography skills to the next level?
- Play a vital role in patient care by operating cutting-edge medical imaging equipment.
- Use high-frequency sound waves to create stunning diagnostic images of the human anatomy.

Responsibilities:


- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and ensure they are comfortable.
- Capture high-quality images that assist Radiologists in making accurate diagnoses.
- Consult with Radiologists for exam reviews before patient discharge.
- Provide ultrasound guidance for attending physicians during special procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with ultrasound machines and coordinate with Clinical Engineering.
- Ensure clinical histories are accurate and up-to-date.
- Verify orders and patient identification with established protocols.
- Master the operation of ultrasound units and probes for optimal imaging.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using the PACS system for image management.
- Send images promptly, even after hours when necessary.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Perform high-level disinfection of endocavity probes as per policy.

Position Specific Competencies:


- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with patients.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation in patient and hospital records.
- Competency in using EPIC for efficient patient management.
