Intensive Care Nurse

Overview TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Critical Care Nurse to join our healthcare family. Summit is the busiest level 3 trauma hospital in Tennessee and operates an 18-bed Surgical ICU that primarily cares for general critical patients and post-cardiac intervention. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs. Provide respiratory care, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients. Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Qualifications RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state. Bachelor’s degree preferred. BLS required. ACLS required within 3 months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area. Specialty certification preferred. One to two years of clinical nursing experience preferred. ICU experience preferred.
