We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily communication and coordination efforts in Bay City, Michigan. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who stays composed in fast-moving situations, communicates clearly, and takes a thoughtful approach to customer interactions. The person in this role will help direct drivers, respond to incoming concerns, and ensure information is shared accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound calls and radio communications to gather updates and pass along time-sensitive information to drivers and internal teams.

• Evaluate changing conditions and determine the most effective direction for drivers based on urgency, location, and operational needs.

• Respond to tense or urgent situations with professionalism, using sound judgment to calm interactions and move issues toward resolution.

• Deliver attentive customer support by listening carefully, addressing concerns respectfully, and providing clear next steps.

• Maintain accurate communication records and enter relevant updates into computer systems as activities progress throughout the day.

• Coordinate across multi-line phone and two-way radio channels to keep operations organized and responsive.

• Share critical information quickly and clearly to help minimize delays and support smooth day-to-day dispatch activities.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain courteous, patient, and empathetic during difficult conversations.
• Clear verbal communication skills and confidence using inbound phone systems, multi-line phone systems, and two-way radio equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to think quickly, solve problems, and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Comfortable using computer programs to document information, update records, and manage communication details.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prior dispatch experience is helpful, but candidates with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
