Senior Data Scientist

Salary: $66,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a masters degree in Decision Sciences, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or another STEM field, along with at least 3 years of experience in analytics or data science.
• If you hold a PhD, we do not require prior work experience.
• In place of a masters degree, we accept a bachelors degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics or data science.
• We need hands-on experience with R, RStudio, Python, SAS, SQL, and NoSQL.
• We require direct SQL programming experience and exposure to large database environments such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SPSS, Teradata, and Hadoop.
• We prefer current knowledge of machine learning and data analytics methods and tools.
• We value experience with predictive modeling approaches.
• We prefer candidates who have worked with both structured and unstructured data.
• We look for foundational knowledge of predictive model development and deployment, web scraping, and scalable data pipeline design.
• We prefer familiarity with statistical techniques such as Bayesian network inference, linear and nonlinear regression, and hierarchical mixed or multilevel modeling.
• Experience with cloud-based machine learning tools, such as AWS SageMaker, is a plus.
• Experience using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or caret is preferred.
• A background in financial services is highly desirable.
• We need strong written and verbal communication skills.

• We present data-backed insights and recommendations to influence product teams and guide decision-making.
• We use data storytelling and visualization to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
