Job Title: Step Down Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH required Must-Have: - Flu vaccine required - Medical and religious exemptions approved on a case-by-case basis - Valid Driver's license required - Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility Description: This position is for a 34 Bed Step Down Unit. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred. Float required within the scope of practice. Weekend work is required, with blocked scheduling not accommodated. COVID-19 vaccine is mandatory, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. Candidates should be aware that ratios may fluctuate with census or call-ins. Orientation is conducted bi-weekly. The resource must sign an assignment confirmation within 24 hours of receiving an offer. Candidates are encouraged to present any requests for time off upfront, as no changes will be accepted after submission. References from a charge nurse or higher and a supervisor are required, both completed within the last year. Only candidates with the required experience will be considered.
