It is not all inclusive and duties may change, be added or deleted according to business needs.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceChampion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulationsLead incident investigations and implement preventative measuresMaintain compliance with all regulatory, company, and industry standardsChampion HEICO EH&S initiatives and training programsOperational LeadershipDirect and manage daily plant operations, including extrusion, fabrication, secondary processes, maintenance, quality, and logisticsEnsure production schedules are met while optimizing throughput, yield, and efficiencyMonitor essential KPIs (OTD, scrap, equipment downtime, labor efficiency) and implement corrective actionsQuality ManagementEnsure products meet customer specifications and quality standardsCollaborate with Quality team on root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actionsDrive continuous improvement in scrap reduction and process capabilityFinancial PerformanceDevelop and manage plant budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencySupport capital planning, including equipment upgrades and expansion projectsBe an active participant in the annual strategic planning process and drive the business towards those goals and objectivesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a team of leaders and individual contributorsFoster a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvementOversee hiring, training, performance management, and succession planningProcess & Continuous ImprovementDrive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar initiativesOptimize extrusion processes (temperature control, die design, material flow, etc.)Implement best practices to improve productivity and reduce wasteCustomer & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Sales and plant leadership team to ensure customer satisfactionParticipate in customer visits, audits, and technical discussionsEnsure on-time delivery and responsiveness to customer needsWork with other business unit leaders within TSS on cross functional projects/initiativesExperienceBA/BS business or operations management preferred, advanced degree highly desirable15+ years progressive management/leadership experience in an extrusion environmentStrong understanding of extrusion processes, tooling, and materialsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement toolsFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning (Dynamics AX) a plusProficient use of MS Office, Exceptional Excel skillsCompetencies RequiredBuilding Effective TeamsCustomer FocusDrive for ResultsManaging with vision and purposeStrategic Agility
