The Social Worker will play an essential role in the success of Austin Achieve through their support of scholars and their families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delivery of evidence-based education, behavior, and mental health services. Utilization of clinical knowledge and skills to assess for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) diagnoses and inform treatment. Support for scholars via a range of treatment modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy. Mental health crisis intervention and making appropriate referrals. Adaptation of interventions to fit scholar needs and campus/district priorities, and routine evaluation of the effectiveness of policies, programs, and practices. Maximization of access to school‑based and community‑based resources. Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and compliance with state and federal law. Maintain adequate safeguards for the privacy and confidentiality of information. Promotion of a school climate and culture conducive to student learning and teaching excellence. Qualifications Valid professional license required (LMSW/LCSW, LPC). Minimum conversational Spanish/preferred fluent Spanish. Two years of experience providing social work services in school settings. Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers to support students and a deep‑seated belief in the mission of Austin Achieve.
