PCU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to our patients during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient management and be adept at using telemetry. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care in a Progressive Care Unit environment.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Manage cardiac drips and perform interventions as necessary.
• Oversee central line care, feeding tube management, and other specialized procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of charge experience in a similar setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Active PA or Compact nursing license required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Ability to work with an adult patient demographic.
